Medcor & Heffernan Insurance Brokers

Did you know Medcor has been a trusted Partner of Heffernan’s Consulting Division since 2008? In 2022, they kept 42% of our HIB consulting clients industrial incidents from becoming reportable workers’ compensation claims. With their service offerings expanding into Telemedicine, Onsite Services, and Wellness Programs our ability to help our clients with their workers’ compensation frequency issues continues to increase. HIB is also one of the few brokerage firms with a special pricing and services contract with Medcor that allows us to offer our clients a very cost effective and proactive risk mitigation tool.

Telemedicine Highlights

  • A work-related injury that is incorrectly treated with more than first aid becomes an unnecessary OSHA recordable claim. Medcor identifies the injuries that truly only need first aid using their proprietary technology, care protocols, algorithms, and patented assessment methods.
  • Medcor allows us to provide our clients with an investigative tool, as all calls are recorded, should a claim go awry.
  • Over 250,000 worksites utilize Medcor’s telemedicine services to help manage injury response, screenings, work clearance, and reporting.

Onsite Services Highlights

  • Provides a targeted approach that gets patients the right level of employee health care and avoids overtreatment.
  • Allows Medcor occupational health clinics to freely navigate healthcare for our clients to help achieve better physical and financial results.
  • When utilizing Medcor’s onsite services, our clients are provided with an advocate that can assist with work-related injuries, preventive screenings, urgent care conditions, return-to-work programs, preventive medicine, health coaching, and more.

Wellness Program Highlights

  • The Wellness Program provides support with maintaining health, wellness, and productivity.
  • Medcor uses evidence-backed resources and education designed to improve health outcomes.
